Please feel free to contact me if you get any update. Hi, I would like to recommend you download the driver from the official website firstly, then reboot to check if the issue persists. Is there other information worth sharing? I got the feeling that the next step is the 'IEEE 1394 Bus host controllers' node to appear in the device manager. I assume this means that the BIOS has detected the card and recognized it as a firewire card. If I disable 'quick boot' I can see the following during the boot sequence: 'PCI slot 3 firewire ctrl'. I have also run the 'search for new drivers' utility that comes with the motherboard. I have updated the BIOS to the latest version. I think this means the card is supposed to function with standard windows drivers.

Nor can drivers be downloaded from the Conceptronic website. The card is a Conceptronic Ci1394B PCI card.Ĭonceptronic support let me know that if the card is a version 2 card, it should work with Windows 7. I will try to give all the information that I have and that could be relevant. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread. CONCEPTRONIC IEEE 1394 DRIVERS UPDATE
How can I get the 'IEEE 1394 Bus host controllers' node to appear in the device manager? Windows update reports that Windows is up to date. Pages on the web offering advice on this kind of problems start their solutions with going to the device manager and expanding the 'IEEE 1394 Bus host controllers' node in the device tree. I can see that the BIOS does see the firewire card. It is functioning well, apart from the firewire card not being recognized.
